I've checked compatibility and according to the official gigabyte page it should have no issue with 3200mhz and even higher mhz cards. I've googled and googled and seen all sorts like it might be my BIOS version being out of date for example (It's F32, I did update it a couple of times from default but i read somewhere that it's not necessarily a great idea to update your BIOS unless you need to so yeah). When i try to change X.M.P i have profile 1 or disable. Not sure if relevant or not by my CPU is a Ryzen 7 2700x. I'm not a total noob but this was the first time I built a PC myself and I'm unsure on how to set the frequency and everything properly. I've had a look in my bios settings and I'm unsure why they're still running at 2133mhz.

I haven't found any adjustments in the BIOS that can make any adjustments that have been suggested.I don't really know what most of these mean but i know you just double the frequency to get what it's running at. If I add to 2 & 4, CPU-Z begins showing single channel. One curious observation is, the app CPU-Z, shows dual channel with ram sticks in 1 & 3. When I begin adding more 4gb ram in slot 2 & 4, the unusable ram message appears. When I install two 4gb of ram in slot 1 & 3, Windows system shows all 8gb. The ram from the spare pc shows the same problem of half ram in the suspect pc. The ram from the suspect pc runs fine in the spare pc. The Memtest86 ran all night with no errors. This Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P motherboard has no onboard graphics nor does the AMD FX8320 CPU. In place of the better card I used, which has 2gb onboard. All that remains is the OS drive and another graphics card, which is showing 4gig of resources in addition to its own 512mb. At the moment, all peripherals are removed from the suspect pc. Not sure of your suggestion of 'apportionment'.
